Old agricultural cooperative

Drégelypalánk, Hungary, 2018. One man is taking care of the livestock in the old buildings of the local agricultural cooperative. I have met few people who do this hard work with such love.

I talked with Gyula bácsi several times on the phone in the past years. I know that 2019-2020 wasn’t the easiest time for him. He lost the love of his life after a long sickness. At the beginning of this year (2021) he seemed to feel better. We were planning to do some follow-up pictures this summer to make our story more continuous.

Gyula bácsi passed away on 31th March, 2021.

I was deeply saddened to hear the shocking news. My heart goes out to your family at this time of grief!
